A history of independence and growth
Founded in 2010
Prolub was founded in 2010 by three entrepreneurs: Philippe Catoire, Frédéric Dejace, and Jean Gruslin. With long experience in lubricants, greases, and business development, they built the company on a strategy of independence, offering a wide choice of high-quality products through a multi-branded approach.
Based in Froyennes (Tournai)
From its base in Froyennes (Tournai), Prolub quickly established itself as a trusted partner with more than 400 active B2B customers annually. Alongside the domestic market, Prolub also developed export activities to Africa and Asia, working with commercial agents to connect supply and demand for quality lubricants and greases.
Focused on world-class brands
While Prolub began as a multi-branded distributor, the strategy has evolved. Today, we collaborate closely with a select group of world-leading brands such as Fuchs, Shell, and TotalEnergies, while maintaining flexible relationships with other producers to meet diverse customer needs.
In addition to lubricants and greases, Prolub also acts as a distributor of industrial gas as part of the Westfalen distribution network, further broadening the solutions available to customers.
Integration into BELUB
To sustain growth and strengthen the business, Prolub entered discussions with Olivier Leclercq, Managing Director of BELUB. This led to the creation of a wider group: Belub & Prolub. Today, all three founders remain actively involved, continuing to nurture the project and expand market share.
The Prolub name and presence remain strong, now reinforced by BELUB’s larger platform. Together, we offer customers the assurance of a unified team, a stronger partner network, and a commitment to technical excellence and sustainability..
