At Belub, we are pursuing our commitment to sustainable development with determination. Our concrete actions and measurable progress demonstrate our determination to fully integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into our corporate strategy.
A career punctuated by structuring initiatives
As a reminder, our journey has been marked by the following stages
- Participation in the SME Green Challenge organised by Wallonie Entreprendre, which enabled us to share and learn from the experiences of other SMEs involved in similar initiatives.
- Participation in the second wave of the Walloon Region project, where we have defineds a roadmap under the coaching and expertise of the Smart 2 Circle team.
- Creation of our Carbon footprint : 13,408 tonnes of CO2 per year, with two key areas of work:
- Belub «Good student», which aims to reduce the impact of our own activities (5% of our total emissions).
- Belub «Supporting our customers», Our mission is to help our customers adopt the right products and practices to reduce the impact of their activities.
2024: Concrete progress on all fronts
Belub «Good student»:
- Reducing our waste 3 times fewer containers in 2024 than in 2023!
- Optimising our bulk deliveries« 29 telemetry customers, 8 more than in 2023.
- Improving team well-being Our emotional barometer is rising.
- Skills development A stronger focus on the training and management of our teams.
- Social commitment partnership with Venture Lab, Our Managing Director is on hand to support project sponsors.
Belub «Accompanying our customers» :
- Increase of 80% in volumes of used oils collected compared with 2023.
- Doubled sales volumes of our organic range«, which now represent 6% of our local sales.
2025: Greater ambitions
We are maintaining our momentum with a number of strategic initiatives for the year ahead:
- Launch of Belub Renew«, a range of low-carbon lubricants that meet the technical, budgetary and environmental requirements of our customers, with a reduction of 90% of CO2 emissions compared with a new Group 1 base oil.
- Setting up a collection and recovery service for empty packaging, from the second quarter of 2025.
- Integrating Prolub into our ODD approach, to standardise our approach across the Group.
